How to Clean or Change a Motorcycle Air filter

If you have just purchased your first motorcycle, you probably realize that you have a few new responsibilities. DIY motorcycle maintenance is a huge deal for those of us who like to be hands-on, so here are some tips for all you do-it-yourself-ers out there.

There comes a time when your motorcycle air filter can get pretty nasty. And, since the air filter is an essential part of your bike, you have two options here: replace or clean the motorcycle air filter. Once you locate the filter, with the right tools, you can easily swap it out with a new one. Depending on the type, some motorcycle air filters can easily be washed in soapy water or blasted with compressed air to be cleaned. Performing regular maintenance like this can affect the fuel economy of your bike as well as the engine performance.

Check out this quick guide of how to remove, check, clean, or replace your motorcycle air filter!
