The History of Motorcycles: How Much Do You Know? (Quiz)

Jan 20, 2020 2:00:00 PM / by Logan Reed

Is motorcycle history your forte? Take this quiz and find out!

I’m no history buff, but I know a thing or two about motorcycle history. Did you know that before motorcycles were considered recreational, they held a very defined and important role in the American war efforts? It was only after World War II concluded that motorcycle ‘clubs’ even came to be.

And the motorcycle companies themselves have unique histories, too. Genichi Kawakami, the founder and president of Yamaha Motors, was widely influential as a music educator before Yamaha’s inception, and Harley-Davidson founders William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson produced the company’s very first ‘motor-bicycle’ inside a tool shed. Pretty cool, eh?

The point is, there’s a lot more to your motorcycle than a pair of wheels, a frame, and an engine, and I’d like to take this opportunity to test your knowledge with a few motorcycle trivia questions! Ready...?
