April showers bring...wet roads and dangerous riding conditions. Part of my job is to give motorcycle safety tips and advice for new motorcycle riders, and stressing the art of riding in the rain is probably one of the most important lessons I can give.

I don't know about y'all, but where I'm from, the weather is unpredictable and it can cause chaos. It can go from sunny skies and beautiful riding conditions to severe thunderstorms before you can even register what is going on. In the spring, down here, we all know to stay on top of the weather and plan accordingly in case the you-know-what hits the fan.

It’s obvious that staying warm and dry are crucial parts of riding a motorcycle in rain, but what it really takes is your full concentration, not just full gear. Safety should be your first priority at all times.
