Why I Can't Live Without my Motorcycle

I can't live without my motorcycle.

If you ask me, when it comes to taking on the open road, I can’t really live without my bike. I mean, I could technically live without one, but my personal story would be a lot less awesome. Here’s what I mean...

I can customize my ride to show my personality.

There tons of different generations, brands, models, and families of motorcycles, and it’s easy to get the best bike for the ride you want. Whether you are looking for a bagger or a touring bike, it’s safe to say that you can find the perfect fit for you. Even better, it’s the little details that make it really stand out. Bikes are easily customizable, so why wouldn’t I want to put your own creative take on what I see as an extension of my own sould? I can really make it mine by putting my own blood, sweat, and tears into customizing any part I want.

Why can’t I live without a motorcycle? Because I can make my bike how I want it, not how the manufacturer thinks I should have it.

My motorcycle is my ticket to a world of freedom.
This really should go without saying, but the phrase “live free, ride hard” doesn’t just have a nice ring to it, it’s absolutely a way of life. I love a motorcycle that is made for long rides on wide American roads, and with all that raw power at my disposal, I can go anywhere I want in style and comfort.

Why can’t I live without a motorcycle? I can rule the road from Maine to Galveston, Tampa to Seattle, and everywhere in between. True Freedom.

My bike is a good investment.
Motorcycles can be a long-lasting investment, and with the amount of pride I put into caring for my own, it’s guaranteed to promise me a long life of happiness. Engines are the heart-and-soul of the motorcycle, and most manufacturers (depending on your opinion and partiality) figured out that engines have to be well-made and built to last.  These machines are built to be hardy, durable vehicles that are remarkably long-lived, and most are almost infinitely rebuildable. For example, Harley takes good care of their riders with nationwide repair location assistance, and, if you happen to burn up your engine, you can send it back to their factory to be rebuilt. Their Longblock Program is one that offers engine rebuilds from 100% new Original Equipment components built to factory specifications, so you can restore the rumble of your Harley.

Why can’t I live without a motorcycle? Because I won’t have to. A motorcycle can live up to the reputation of being durable machines made for the road.

That rumble.

Nothing else comes close. ‘Nuff said.

It’s not just a motorcycle; it’s a lifestyle.

This is the best part. My motorcycle is a ticket into a culture; it’s a statement; it’s a way of life. Riding is all about the open road, the all inclusive brotherhood (and sisterhood), and being part of a community of bikers who feel as passionate as I do.

When you buy a motorcycle, you don’t just buy a motorcycle. You become a member of a family that welcomes you into their community regardless of who you are or where you came from. That means, whether you are a celebrity rider or Joe Schmo, anyone who lives for two wheels becomes part of your family.

Harley Owners Group (otherwise known as HOG) and other motorcycle clubs are made of other devoted owners and riders who are passionate about all things bike-life. At rallies and events, bikes bring together one of the most energetic groups to create a memorable experience for the books.

Why can’t I live without a motorcycle? I’m part of a family who also can’t live without a motorcycle, and the camaraderie that comes along with it is irreplaceable.
