A Look at Yamaha Star Motorcycles

Star Motorcycles: A Rundown of Popular Models

Anyone who knows the history of Yamaha knows that the Star Motorcycles brand was created in 1996 by Yamaha to be its own, standalone brand and to distinguish the series of Yamaha cruiser motorcycles. The brand did very well, and produced a wide range of cruiser motorcycles for the Yamaha Star lineup. From the lean Bold and bobber Bolt R-Spec and the XSR700, to the muscular and brutal-looking V-4 VMAX power cruiser, the Yamaha Star Motorcycles have a cruiser for pretty much every taste.

The Star Motorcycle brand became its own company in 2006, but Yamaha handled all the production and distribution of the Star cruiser motorcycles. This was kept up until 2016, when it was decided that Yamaha would go back to selling the cycles under only their name.
